Gayle Bair’s art career began at the age of six during a summer vacation road trip to visit national parks. She still takes inspiration from the environment. Her current palettes include Puget Sound, WA and Tucson, AZ.
Upon receiving a BFA in 1967 she continued drawing, painting, printmaking, calligraphy and quilt making slowing only to raise her children.
A chance class 9 years ago brought cohesion to her years of art experience. Struck with the potential of clay as a medium, she has worked at a furious pace ever since that first ball of clay was placed in her hands.
Gayle’s work has been exhibited in galleries and private collections nationally and internationally. She enjoys meeting her customers at local venues such as Bainbridge Farmers Market, Studio Tours, Bainbridge in Bloom and her studio.
